For the love of Pumpkins

It’s that time of year, y’all.  The time of year when the weather cools down, the colors begin to change and fall surrounds us.  It’s such a beautiful time of year!

When fall makes its appearance -the pumpkins come out to play. And, who doesn’t love pumpkins?

Before you start thinking this is going to be about pumpkin carving -we’ll stop you right there. It’s not. But, if you were excited about reading an article about pumpkin carving, we can help you there. Click here!

Now, back to our love for pumpkins. If you think about it, pumpkins are quite multi-purposeful. They are the essential item that completes your fall front porch decor, the key ingredient for your spiced latte and a perfect prop for the most adorable photo-op.

See what we mean?

Carve Mobile into your pumpkins

When it comes to Halloween traditions, it’s not just about trick or treating.  {Well, it’s mostly about trick or treating. }  Carving pumpkins with your family and friends is a pretty special tradition too.

This year, when you are carving your pumpkins — put a little Mobile in them. Or, in this case, ON them!   We’ve made printable templates for you to create your own Halloween pumpkin with scenes that are #soMobile!

Take a look at the templates. When you see the one you like, click the link and print!

I Am Born To Celebrate Video Series

We are so excited to launch this series of videos!

Last November, we launched our ‘Born To Celebrate’ campaign that has been so well-received. An integral part of the campaign was a video that showcased just how special Mobile is.

All of us at Visit Mobile think the video was a slam dunk. In fact, it has over 200K views! If you haven’t seen that video, you’ll want to watch it before you continue. If you have seen it, there’s no shame in watching it again!

Now, let’s talk about all of those people that you see in the video. They are some of the funky and festive folks that make Mobile a place to celebrate. This series is about those people and their stories!

Each week, we’ll introduce you to another familiar face, another story and another reason to celebrate Mobile!

First up, meet Hosea. He’s music to our ears.

Now, meet Kati!

Next, meet the fabulous folks who brought us the Delta Bike Project!

If you love beer and Mobile, you’ll love Anthony.

THE man himself… Wayne Dean as Chief Slacabamorinico!
