On Sunday, it will be a dog’s world and us humans, are just living in it.

ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) invites humans and their canine companions to spend the day listening to live, local music, enjoying great food and libations on a beautiful October afternoon. What could possibly be better? We know.

Weiner Dog Races.

Let us set the scene. There’s a dog and a human on one end of the lane and another human waits for their pooch to be released at the other end. But, they aren’t just waiting with open arms for their canine to run to them, they come packin’. cheeseburgers, snacks and other tasty treats to entice their hound dogs to the finish line first. It’s competitive, hilarious and the part of the day you must not miss.

Then, there is everybody’s favorite, the Doggie Costume Contest. The costumes are on a whole new level of awesome, so come prepared to be impressed.

The day is always celebrated with the best music and this year is no exception. Live music starts at 11AM with DJ Bella Loxx and ends with the last band, Super Funk Fantasy, starting at 4:45PM.  Talk about ending on a high-note. If you haven’t seen Super Funk Fantasy perform, here’s a sneak peak:—>

Let’s just say, it’s a dog-gone good time.

So, grab your Linebarkers and your Wide Retrievers and we’ll see you Sunday. If you don’t have a canine friend, come too. You won’t regret it.  And, if you can’t make it, you can live vicariously by following @VisitMobileBay on Instagram. We’ll be posting pictures of all the four-legged cuteness you can possibly stand.
